我于2010年7月毕业于广东外语外贸大学英语语言文化学院英语（文化与传播）专业，获得文学学士学位，同时完成国际经济与贸易学院国际经济与贸易专业，获得经济学学士学位。同年9月获得香港理工大学人文学院入学奖学金，攻读英语语言研究专业硕士项目，并于2011年7月获得文学硕士学位。毕业后进入北京师范大学珠海分校外国语学院担任外事秘书一职。

外事秘书职位主要负责之一是外籍教师的入职和离职的相关手续，以及外籍教师的日常管理工作。由于本科专业方向为文化与传播，侧重西方文化研究，因此我本身对中西方文化方面就有着浓厚的兴趣，乐于与来自不同国家的人交流沟通。另外，我的主要工作还包括国际合作课程班的招生及宣传，并在任职的第一年担任2011级国际合作课程班班主任，担任英语泛读课程任课教师，与辅导员一同负责学生的管理工作。外事秘书的工作繁琐又须谨慎，但我相信只要坚持脚踏实地、认真仔细，就一定能够顺利完成每项工作。

My name is Tan Yuanxin (Michelle). I graduated from Guangdong University of Foreign Languages in July, 2010 and got a bachelor degree of Arts in English (Communication and Cultural Studies) and a bachelor degree of Economics in International Economics and Trade. After graduation, I entered Hong Kong Polytechnic University to continue postgraduate study with an entry-scholar ship and got a master degree of Arts in English Language Studies in July, 2011. Now I’m working as the secretary of foreign affairs in the School of Foreign Languages, Beijing Normal University at Zhuhai.

The major responsibilities of my job are taking charge of entry and exit application of overseas teachers and offering them help and assistance in daily life. It provides me with great opportunities and previous experience in communicating with people from all over the world, which I appreciate a lot, as western culture study was the focus of my undergraduate program. In addition, I am also responsible for the International Cooperative Program in our school. In the first year, I was the head teacher of the students in Grade 2011 of the International Cooperative Program, teaching them English Extensive Reading and taking charge of students’ affairs with their tutor. Serving as the secretary of foreign affairs, I have learnt that every job requires hard work and I will try my best to do my job.
