博士，副教授，硕士生导师，毕业于北京师范大学。主要研究领域：英语教师教育、功能语言学、应用语言学等。现任外国语学院副院长。2004年2月开始在分校外国语学院工作。2004年9月至2010年7月一直负责大学外语部的教学管理工作，是大学英语教学改革的主要负责人。2010年9月至今，工作范畴调整为负责学院的行政和外事工作，主要包括学院行政事务、外教的管理以及国际合作办学项目等。教授应用语言学、英语教师专业发展、研究生英语读写、英语视听、英语时事新闻、英语听说、大学英语、商务英语、雅思听力等课程。曾多次指导学生参加学科专业竞赛，所指导的学生在国家和省市级各类比赛中均取得优良成绩。在《西安外国语大学学报》、《国外理论动态》等期刊发表论文和译著多篇。主编国家“十一五”规划教材《21世纪大学英语应用型综合教程》（复旦大学出版社），作为副主编参编教学参考用书多部。主持的广东省教育厅“英语视听类课程”精品资源共享课项目和珠海市2017-2018年度哲学社科规划课题《珠海市中学英语教师研究能力发展实证研究》已顺利结项，同时作为主要成员参与省级及校级课题多项。
Xie Wenting (Elizabeth Xie) got a degree of Doctorate of Education from Beijing Normal University. Her research interests mainly lie in Teacher Education, Funtional Linguistics and Applied Linguistics. Since 2004 she has been teaching as a full time member of the School of Foreign Languages in Beijing Normal University, Zhuhai. She is currently one of the vice deans of the School of Foreign Languages. She was responsible for the management of teaching affairs of College English department in the School of Foreign Languages from September of 2004 to July of 2010. Starting from September of 2010, her responsibilities have been transferred to the management of administration affairs and foreign affairs of the school, including overseas teachers’ recruitment, their daily affairs and international co-operation projects.
She has ever taught quite a number of courses for English and Non-English majors, including Applied Linguistics, Professional Development of English Teachers, English Reading and Writing of Postgraduates, English Viewing and Listening, English News and Current Events, English Listening and Speaking, College English, Business English, IELTS Listening, and so on. Under her guidance, quite a lot of students won prizes in contests at municipal,provincial and national levels. She has so far published a few papers in such journals as Journal of Xi'an International Studies University and Foreign Theoretical Trends. As the chief editor, she edited a series of "Eleventh Five-Year" National Planned Textbooks entitled "21st Century College English-for Interactive Purpose"(published by Fudan University Press). As the project leader, she successfully finished two research projects, one at the municipal level, the other at the provincial level. She also participated in quite a number of research projects at the university,municipal and provincial levels.
