讲师，本科与研究生就读于北京外国语大学英语系，在严师们的培养下，打下了扎实的语言基础，并在英美文学方向开始了自己的研究和探索。研究兴趣在现代以后的英美文学作品，尤其是女性作家作品以及后现代小说，弗洛伊德的心理分析学说和黑格尔的一些哲学观点。现任英语系副主任。
在北京的这段岁月，不但培养了她严谨的学术态度，浓厚的学科兴趣，其丰富的文化底蕴，多元的艺术展览，也熏陶了她对文化的热爱和对美的欣赏。在校期间除了刻苦求学，还曾经在《中外少年》发表散文，翻译和采访多篇。曾经组建两支乐队，其中一支是2005年英国大使馆文化处举办的“留英同学会”圣诞晚宴上的唯一表演乐队。热爱教学，在校期间被北京大学资源学院聘用，培训出国学生的口语。
毕业后来到北京师范大学珠海分校外国语学院，承担低年级英语专业综合英语和语音语调的教学工作，并在学院领导和同事们的帮助下，曾兼管团委学生活动，积极发表专业论文。评上讲师以后，又承担了英语系副主任的职务，在同事们的支持下，努力把工作做好。她最热爱的是教学，看到学生渴求知识的眼神和他们点滴的进步，她就觉得，所有的付出都是值得的。
Myla Wu spent 7 years (2001-2008) studying English in Beijing Foreign Studies University, acquiring her Master Degree in English Language and Literature after completing her B.A. degree in the same university. During this time, she developed a strong interest towards British and American Literature. Her research interests mainly lie in modern and post-modern literary works, especially those of the women writers. Freudian Psychoanalysis and Hegelian Master-slave Mechanism were applied to in her thesis.
The years in Beijing saw her forming of a strict attitude towards academic research and a strong interest in literary studies. The variety of cultures and the colorful art exhibitions cultivated her passion for culture and her aesthetic judgment. Being a diligent student, she also published several essays, translations and interviews in the magazine Teenagers in China and Abroad. She was once a member of two rock bands, one of which performed as the only band in the Christmas party of “the British Alumni” held by the British Council, Beijing Branch. She also had a passion for teaching. During her study in Beijing, she was invited by Peking University Resource College to teach students oral English to help prepare for their overseas studies.
She began to work in Faculty of Foreign Languages in Beijing Normal University, Zhuhai Campus upon graduation, responsible for the teaching of “Comprehensive English” and “Pronunciation and Intonation Practice” for freshmen and sophomore students. With the support from the faculty leaders and her colleagues, she also once worked as the director of the Youth League. Now she undertakes the position of Vice Director of the English Department, working together with colleagues in the department to manage students’ daily affairs. But her favorite is still teaching. Students’ yearning eyes for knowledge and the progress they make are the best reward for her efforts.
