The first Japanese Corner in this new semester was held in the library lobby at 6:30 p.m. on February 28th. Mr. Wataru Sato, Mr. Hiromasa Meguro and Ms. Kayoko Matsushima attended the Japanese Corner.
Firstly, students and Ms. Matsushima talked about the different dialects within Guangdong Province. During the conversation, Ms. Matsushima learned various dialects from students with Cantonese origins and exchanged her role with the students as a listener.
Meanwhile, Mr. Sato was having an interesting discussion on local TV dramas and movies with his students. To students’ surprise, two Japanese seniors joined the Japanese Corner to share their life experiences and academic attitudes with the students. Finally, all the students had a great time.
The first Japanese Corner in our new semester ended in students being very dynamic and joyful. Some students expressed the wish that more and more students could join in and learn something meaningful from one another.
