On the cool night of May 11th, Mr. Martin Stannard and Boss, a German student brought us interesting topics. Both of them shared their views on hometown to us.
Mr. Martin told us that he left his hometown when he was young. In his view, hometown was just a place where he was born. Nowadays, there were highly mobile populations, and he cared more about the journey in the future.
It was the first year that Boss came to our school. On the contrary, he missed his hometown. Many students recommended cities around Zhuhai and invited him to their hometowns. Boss told us that he wanted to learn Chinese when he was staying in China and he thought Chinese was a beautiful language.
Students also expressed various interesting opinions about the hometown. They were looking forward to the English Corner next week.
