Today is 16th June, 2016, though it was raining, students and Ms.Alba Irene Garcia Troya still came to the library on time to attend today’s Portuguese corner and communicate with each other.
As the summer holiday is coming soon, today’s Portuguese corner started with the vacation plan of Alba. Alba told students that she would go to Hong Kong first, then Finland, at last Madrid. She also mentioned that if you were going abroad, you’d better take a headrest with you.
When students talked about the stories during the trips, Alba shared a lucky experience of her friend. Her friend was traveling with an old violin. At the border, the guards asked to check it, fortunately, it wasn’t damaged after the inspection. Alba said that when she came to Paris for the first time at 14 years old in 1999, she fell in love with Paris immediately. However, at that time, she thought she was too old to go to the DisneyLand. She still remembered the ticket needed 88 euros per person and that was a huge sum of money then.
Today’s Portuguese corner ended with lots of joy. Both students and the teacher were looking forward to meeting each other again at the Portuguese corner next semester.
