On December 9th, although it was rainy, students came to the library as usual. Mr. Aaron Richards, Mr. Martin Stannard and Mr. Brett Gearing attended today’s English corner.
Aaron first referred to the living schedule. Actually, most of the students often stayed up late at night for various reasons. However, Aaron kept the habit of going to bed at 10pm without watching movies or playing computer games during his university years. As university students, they should form a healthy habit and follow a reasonable timetable.
Martin shared his opinions on the necessity of studying abroad. For example, if you were a student who majored in at least one foreign language, studying abroad was a good chance to live with local people, which helped you understand them. In addition, communicating with the locals would enable you to learn more about their cultures and customs. It was better than just learning from textbooks.
Brett asked students about their plans for Christmas:some students would like to go out to play with friends, while some others decided to have a Christmas party. For Brett, he planned to go to Hong Kong for Christmas celebrations.
Although it rained heavily outside, bursts of laughters filled the room. Probably even strangers who were hurried on their way back could feel the ebullient atmosphere of the English Corner.
