Great Achievements Made by SFL Students in the Final of 2017 “FLTRP Cup” National English Writing Contest

The final of 2017 FLTRP Cup English Writing Contest was held in the International Convention Center of Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press (FLTRP) from December 6^th to December 8^th in Daxing, Beijing. Zhu Yue, a student from the School of Foreign Languages (SFL), took part in the contest on behalf of students from Guangdong Province and was awarded the second prize.

“FLTRP Cup” English Writing Contest is co-sponsored by the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, the National Foreign Language Teaching Advisory Committee, and the National English Major Teaching Advisory Committee under the Ministry of Education. There were 91 contestants altogether who were Grand Prize winners from their own provinces gathering in Beijing and competing on the same stage.

English writing is a subject with flexible practicability and a wide range of comprehensive knowledge, thus being difficult to teach. Gratifying achievements made by Zhu Yue in the contest fully demonstrates people’s recognition of the teaching level of the School and the idea of cultivating innovative talents as well.
