The School of Foreign Languages Set A New Record For Postgraduate Study Abroad
In 2016 national postgraduate entrance examination, the graduate of School of foreign languages won gratifying achievements again. College professional teaching quality is further prominent, and enrollment in universities at home and abroad continue to rise. By the end of June 30, 2016, among 261 grade 2012 four-year degree graduates, 49 chose study abroad for postgraduate degree.
Among successful application of 43 students go abroad for further study, there are 18 students admitted to study for a master's degree by the British colleges and universities, 9 students to study in Hong Kong and Macao, 8 students have been admitted to university in Australia, 3 students have been admitted to North American colleges and universities, 7 students admitted by domestic colleges and universities, 4 students have been admitted to universities in Japan, Singapore, France and Spain. Now the graduate going abroad for postgraduate study win remarkable achievements again, which widen their employment and enhance their employment strength, and also further stimulate the foreign languages school students’ perseverance and persistence of studying assiduously and unremittingly.
Since the founding of our school, college leaders have attach great importance to the academic atmosphere construction, and have actively guide the student strive to forge ahead and have made efforts to cultivate students' ambition. In the beginning, they have strengthen the guidance and help of students. From postgraduate entrance examination meeting, experience exchange seminar, school selection, preliminary and second test, college arranged academic advisor for students to answer problems and provide professional guidance. It is beneficial from a strong team of excellent teachers and great educational orientation that graduates of the school of foreign languages maintain a higher rate of going abroad, school quality and professional optimization. The school has a strong team of experienced and vigorous teachers, which effectively guarantee the professional teaching activities. There are 67 enlisted teachers, among which 15 in senior position (4 professors and 11 associate professors), accounting for 22.3%, 5 in doctorate, accounting for 7.4%, 55 in master degree or above, accounting for 82%. What’s more, there are 26 foreign teachers, which accounts for 38.8%. The quality and quantity of foreign teachers is second to none in the school, which provide a strong guarantee for cultivating international English talents.
