5月24日，外国语学院邀请加拿大圣玛丽大学教育学院院长Esther Enns博士为英语专业大学三年级的同学做了一场国际英语教学硕士项目（International Master of Teaching English-IMTE）宣讲会。外国语学院副院长谢庆立、谢文婷、党总支副书记王燕及相关教师也出席了宣讲会。
宣讲会上，Esther Enns博士对该项目的相关内容进行了基本介绍，如学制、学费、雅思要求、课程安排、实习实践等。 此外，学生大学四年的经历及表现也将作为评选标准。
在随后的提问环节，Esther Enns博士还向在座教师和学生分享了自己对于英语口音的看法，并以不同国籍的人对House一词的发音差异为例向同学们阐释每个人有自己独特的说话方式。
圣玛丽大学现有超过一半包括中国、日本、韩国及中东等多个国家的国际学生，拥有超过25年的语言教学经验，从1982年至今与北京师范大学本部已有将近三十五年的合作历史。此次宣讲会成功的拉近了加拿大圣玛丽大学与北京师范大学珠海分校的联系，为进一步开展校际合作、院际合作奠定基础，同时也为我院学生继续深造搭建了良好的学习平台。
An International Master of Teaching English Meeting Held by SMU
Dr. Esther Enns, Dean of the School of Education at St. Mary's University in Canada was invited on May 24, to give a lecture on International Master of Teaching English (IMTE) to third-year English majors. Xie Qingli, the Vice dean of the School of Foreign Languages, , Xie Wenting, the Vice dean of the School of Foreign Languages, and Wang Yan, Deputy Secretary of the General Branch of SFL with some teachers and students concerned attended the lecture.
During the presentation, Dr. Esther Enns gave a basic introduction to the project, including the total tuition fee, GPA, course arrangements, IELTES requirement and internship.
During the subsequent questioning session, Dr. Esther Enns also shared her views on English accent with the teachers and students present and explained to students that each person has his own unique voice based on the difference in pronunciation of House by different nationalities the way.
With more than 25 years of teaching experience in languages, more than half of the existing international students from China, Japan, Korea and the Middle East, University of Saint Mary's has nearly 35 years of cooperation with Beijing Normal University in Beijing since 1982. The promotion successfully brought closer contact with St. Mary's University in Canada and Beijing Normal University in Zhuhai, laying a solid foundation for further inter-school cooperation and inter-hospitable cooperation for further study of our students.
