为强化师资队伍，展示中外教师的教学实力，4月29日下午3时35分，外国语学院在励耘楼B201组织举办了2016年青年教师教学基本功大赛-初赛。本次比赛共有四位优秀教师参加，他们分别是李丹老师、梁燕婷老师、廖林芳老师和外籍教师Mr. Robert Mateja。此次比赛由副院长谢庆立副教授、副院长谢文婷副教授、英语系主任崔艳丽副教授担任评委，吴文霞、李小英、夏月容、Ms. Roz Walls等老师也到现场观摩。

按照比赛要求，每位参赛者要在规定时间内进行教学展示。参赛的教师们在有限的时间里向在场的老师和同学展现了各自的教学特色，他们独特的教学方法和理念充分调动了学生对学习的积极性和主动性。李丹老师通过与学生的紧密互动，深入浅出地讲解了雅思写作策略；梁燕婷老师运用影像资料和小组比赛形式，让同学们了解了百慕大三角之谜；Mr. Robert Mateja以特定情境引导学生列出一系列单词，与同学们探讨了可数名词和不可数名词的区别；廖林芳老师用西城男孩的一首英文歌生动讲述了英语中的连音现象。老师们流畅精彩的教学令现场掌声不断。

经过近两小时的精彩比赛，各位老师比分不分伯仲，最终，本次大赛以廖林芳老师一等奖，梁燕婷老师二等奖，Mr. Robert Mateja和李丹老师获三等奖的结果完美收官。

SFL Holds 2016 Teaching Competition

At 3:35 p.m., April 29th, the 2016 Teaching Competition of SFL was held in Liyun B201. There were four candidates in the competition. They were Ms. Li Dan, Ms. Liang Yanting, Ms. Liao Linfang and Mr. Robert Mateja. Associate professors Xie Qingli, Xie Wenting, and Cui Yanli were invited as the judges.

According to the requirements of the competition, each contestant made a presentation for 15 minutes. They all did a great job, fully arousing students’ enthusiasm and initiative in participation with their unique teaching methods and techniques. Ms. Li Dan made complicated IELTS writing accessible to the students with interaction. Ms. LiangYanting let student know more about the Bermuda Triangle by video and group games. In order to distinguish between countable and uncountable nouns, Mr. Robert Mateja created specific contexts to provoke students'' imagination. Ms. Liao Linfang used one of Westlife’s songs to clarify the liaison phenomenon in English pronunciation. There was continuous applause during the contest.

Finally, the first prize went to Ms. Liao Linfang, the second prize to Ms.LiangYanting and the third prize to Mr. Robert Mateja and Li Dan.
