10月28日，Mr.Aaron Richards和Mr. Dennis Baker来到了英语角和同学们交流。有趣新颖的话题引起了许多同学的兴趣，大家每周都会来到英语角和外教们一起交谈。
Aaron让我们对比一下安卓和I phone并说出它们的优缺点。他首先让使用这两种不同手机的同学们分成两组来讨论，而Aaron加入到了使用安卓手机的小组中。他说安卓手机价格实惠并且有很多免费的软件供他下载，觉得很方便。有一些支持安卓手机的同学补充道，安卓手机很抗摔，所以使用寿命长。然后，Aaron 提议我们一起加入支持I phone的组来比较两者的优缺点，支持I phone的同学说I phone使用寿命很长而且运行速度很快，但经常要更新ios系统比较麻烦。这个话题贴近生活，吸引到很多同学的注意并激发起了同学们的兴趣。
Dennis今天的话题则是宗教与信仰。一位同学说起，在中国，很多人通过拜祭来祈求神灵的庇佑，但Dennis认为人们相信的不是宗教本身，而是一种信仰。宗教只是一种精神寄托。而人们相信的应该是自己。因为我们自己拥有拯救自己的力量。
对于对英语感兴趣的同学来说，星期三的英语角是很有意义也很开心的时间。通过参加英语角，很多同学都敢于开口说英语了，并且英语口语也有了一定的提高。
English Corner: The Night of Debating

On October 28th, Mr.Aaron Richards and Mr. Dennis Baker came to the English corner and talked with students. Interesting and fresh topics aroused students’ interests as usual.
Aaron brought a topic about the smart phones and encouraged students to compare i- phone with android. He divided students into two groups based on the kind of smart phones they used. Students were encouraged to talk about the advantages and disadvantages of both android and i-phone. He joined the group of android, for he thought it was cheaper and many apps could be downloaded for free. Besides, a student thought android smart phones were hard to break, making them have a long service life. On the other hand, students from the i-phone group held the opinion that IOS system was much faster and i-phones had a long service life as well. However, they also noted that the IOS system often needed to be updated, which was not very convenient.
Dennis’ topic today was religion and belief. A student said that in China, a lot of people worshiped for the blessing of God. But Dennis thought what people believed in was not religion itself, but a belief. Religion is only a kind of spiritual ballast. People should believe in themselves, because only they can save themselves.
For some students who are interested in English, the English corner on Wednesday is indeed an exciting and happy time. Many students have got the chance to practice their oral English and thus have improved a lot.
