2014年9月24日，让人期待已久的英语角在图书馆如火如荼地举行。一串串流利的英语，一阵阵欢乐的笑声，成为了图书馆最亮丽的一道风景线。出席本次英语角的有Mr. Martin Stannard、Dr. Phillip Stevenson、Mr. Christopher Dockstader、Mr. Charlie Reis 、Ms. Dulene Cipiriano、Mr. Lucas Conrad和Mr. Jeremy Jenkin。

经过了一个暑假，大家都迫不及待地分享着自己的假期趣事。Dr. Phillip Stevenson的幽默话语，使英语角的气氛更加热烈。当他和同学们分享到，他在回英国看望家人的时候，吃了很多英国特色食品。其中，他最喜爱的莫过于猪血。同学们纷纷露出诧异的眼神，感慨道“原来绅士出名的英国人也会吃猪血啊！”Dr. Phillip Stevenson更加淘气地说道，那可是他皮肤保养的秘诀呢。同学们都笑得前俯后仰，场面好不热闹。

Mr. Charlie Reis则通过暑假，去了越南和广西旅游。不过他告诉同学们，他最喜欢的中国城市还是成都和昆明。因为他享受成都的热辣美食和昆明的温凉天气。但他最喜欢的还是北师珠的学生呢。他还亲切地和同学们分享了一些他在北师珠工作的有趣故事。

暑假，也是一个享受师生之情的好时候。暑假期间，Ms. Dulene Cipiriano则去北京看望了她的学生，并参加了他们的毕业典礼。听到这，同学们心中泛起毕业的美好憧憬。

看来，同学们和老师们都在暑假度过了一个美好时光。让我们一起珍藏那些趣事，让快乐成为学习的正能量，在新的学期，以新的姿态在学海中遨游！

English Corner: The Happy Summer Vacation

On the evening of September 24, students came to the English Corner as usual. The delighted atmosphere made the English Corner become the concentration in the Library. The foreign teachers present were Mr. Martin Stannard, Dr. Phillip Stevenson, Mr. Christopher Dockstader, Mr. Charlie Reis, Ms. Dulene Cipiriano, Mr. Lucas Conrad and Mr. Jeremy Jenkin.

The topic this time was My Happy Summer Vacation.

After having a fantastic time in summer vacation, everyone just could not help to share their stories with each other. Dr. Phillip Stevenson’s stories were the climax of the English Corner. He told the students that he spent his summer vacation in England, visiting his families and eating traditional English food. When he said he really liked blood pudding, most of the students were so surprised. Someone even said he could not believe that British, which is said to be the hometown of gentlemen, could eat things like that. However, still some students considered it as a common food. And Dr. Phillip Stevenson said mystically,“ That’s the secret to maintain my skin.” That was so hilarious!

Mr. Charlie Reis told the students that he traveled to Vietnam and Guangxi Province this summer vacation. He really enjoyed the days there. He also said his favorite cities in China were Chengdu and Kunming. Although he liked the spicy food in Chengdu and the weather in Kunming, he also expressed his love to BNUZ.

Summer vacation is also a good time to build up the emotion between students and teachers. Therefore, Ms. Dulene Cipiriano traveled to Beijing to attend her former students’ graduation ceremony.

Everyone seemed to have a good time in summer vacation. Let’s share our happiness with others and keep up the wonderful memories. Let’s have a new start in a new semester and catch up with our dream!
