2013年5月14日，第十三周的英语角在图书馆顺利地进行。出席本次英语角的外籍老师有Mr. Martin Stannard ，Mr. Leck Wall，Mr. Christopher Dockstader，和Mr. Sean McHugh。

生活中常常装载着喜与悲，自然与尴尬。本次英语角的主题就是“生活中令人尴尬的事情”。由于日常生活中经常遇到诸如此类的事情，因此同学们与老师们分享着发生在各自身上一些尴尬的事情，整个图书馆洋溢着欢乐的笑声。

最令人印象深刻的要数Mr. Leck Wall和学生分享的糗事。在他高中时，他参加了假唱比赛，最终赢得比赛。在比赛结束时他想要脱掉衣服来表达自己获得冠军的喜悦之情，但是衣服脱掉一半时，手却卡住了。在众目睽睽之前，Mr. Leck Wall出洋相了。Mr. Christopher Dockstader也分享了他在上高中的时候由于路面过滑从楼下摔下来的糗事，使得周围的人捧腹大笑。有一个女同学和大家分享道，在她小的时候由于头发短，样子长得像男生，而不被允许上女洗手间。

English corner ——The Most Embarrassing Things in Your life

The English Corner was held in the lobby of the library on May 14. Mr. Martin Stannard, Mr. Leck Wall, Mr. Christopher Dockstader and Mr. Sean McHugh attended the English Corner.

People’s day-to-day life is filled with happiness, sadness and embarrassment. What is more, people would feel embarassed for some of stupid things. When it came to “the most embarrassing thing in your daily life”, both teachers and students had a lot of interesting stories to tell.

Mr. Leck Wall shared with students that when he was in high school, he joined in a lip-synch race, finally he won the championship. And he was so happy and boastful, but unfortunately ,when he took off his T-shirt, his arms got struck. Mr. Christopher Dockstader told the students how he fell down from the stair on a rainy day. All the students burst into laughter. Among the students, a girl shared that she was not allowed to go to the lady’s room because she looked like a boy with her short hair when she was a child.
