2017年3月8日晚七点，外国语学院年度表彰大会在乐育楼C204顺利举行。出席此次大会的有外国语学院院长、党总支书记陶文好，副院长谢庆立、谢文婷，党总支副书记王燕，全体教职工党员及受表彰的全体师生。
大会首先对在过去三年中对学院发展做出突出贡献的老师们进行了表彰，他们无论是在教学、管理还是科研方面，兢兢业业，行为世范，深得学生喜爱。优秀教师代表结合自身的教学经历，就如何进行自我管理、如何处理学习过程中“博”与“深”的关系提出了自己的建议。她们认为，大学生应当设立合理目标，有独立安排自我学习的能力，积极参与实践活动；同时在掌握专业知识的基础上，广泛涉猎各方面知识，这样才能不断提升自己。
同时，大会表彰的还有在专业学习、党团活动、社会工作等各方面表现突出的先进个人与先进班集体。特等奖学金获得者周放分享了她的学习、社会实践经历。她强调自己入学以来每年都获得特等奖学金的重要原因之一，是自己真正爱学习，享受学习。同时，她也鼓励大家在努力提升专业水平的同时，还应当积极参与社会实践，尤其是志愿服务类实践。无论何时，都要怀有一颗感恩的心去看待身边的人和事。
院长陶文好教授以诙谐幽默的语言向大家阐释了“International Women’s Day” 的汉语译文，并表达了对外院全体女教职工和女生的节日问候。同时向获得表彰的先进个人和集体表示了热烈的祝贺，并希望在座的老师和同学们都能够秉承“学为人师，行为世范”的北师大精神，不忘初心，继续前行，努力创造新的辉煌。
表彰大会，是对过去成绩的肯定和对未来工作的激励，相信外院师生必将为学院的历史添上浓墨重彩的一笔，在众星闪耀的天空中熠熠生辉！
2016 Awarding Ceremony of School of Foreign Languages was Held Successfully
On the evening of March 8, 2017, the annual awarding ceremony of School of Foreign Languages was held successfully in LeYu C204. Professor Tao Wenhao, the Dean of School of Foreign Languages and General Secretary of Party Branch of SFL, Professor Xie Wenting and Professor Xie Qingli, Vice Dean of the school, and Wang Yan, Deputy Secretary of Party Branch of SFL, and all the party members and all teachers and students to be honored attended the ceremony.
Firstly, teachers who made outstanding contributions to the development of the school in the past three years were awarded. Since they devoted their attention to teaching, management and scientific research and set themselves a good example to others, students respected them deeply. Combining with their own teaching experiences, representatives of outstanding teachers put forward their suggestions on how to conduct self-management and how to deal with the relationship between "erudition" and "depth" in the learning process. They suggested that college students should set reasonable goals, have the ability to arrange self-learning independently, and actively participate in practical activities. At the same time, except for mastering the professional knowledge, they should aslo read extensively and widely so as to achieve progress continuously.
In addition, it awarded the advanced individuals and class groups that were outstanding in professional learning, party activities and social work. The winner of Special Scholarship Zhou Fang shared her experience both in the study and social practice. She stressed that one of the important reasons that she had been awarded Special Scholarship every year since she entered the school was that she really loved to study and enjoyd her study. At the same time, she also encouraged students to actively participate in social practice, especially volunteer service, while striving to improve their professional knowledge. Moreover, she emphasized we should always have a grateful heart towards the people and things around us.
Then Professor Tao Wenhao explained the Chinese translation of "International Women's Day" in a humorous way, and expressed festive greetings for all female staff and girls in the school. What's more, he extended his warm congratulations to individuals and groups awarded, and hoped all teachers and students to adhere to the motto of Beijing Normal University which is “ Learn, so as to instruct others; act, to serve as example to all". He also suggested we remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind.
The awarding ceremony is not only the recognition of performance over the past year, but also motivation to the work in the future. It is strongly believed that teachers and students of SFL will surely contribute to the prosperity of the school.
