12月9日晚,Dr.Franka Kermer在乐育C310为大家带来了一场关于外语学习的讲座。
首先,Dr.Kermer向大家简要介绍了第二语言的定义以及第二语言与第一语言的区别,并向大家列举了第二语言学习过程中的常见问题。Dr.Kermer说道,作为第二语言学习者,需要了解第二语言的知识系统、词汇、语法、语音以及如何运用第二语言表达观点,并以此为基础,对第二语言进行听说读写的学习。此外,环境和个人努力是影响语言学习的重要因素,而个人努力作为成功学习语言的必要条件,也是语言教育中不可或缺的因素。
随后,Dr.Kermer 向同学们介绍了60年代至70年代语言学的演变,并解释了内在生成文法。其中,Dr.Kermer用Noam Chomsky的语言机制,即人的大脑中语言能力本身,以及人们获得语言知识系统的方法,向大家诠释了内在生成文法。
最后,Dr.Kermer向大家分享了各种外语学习方法,包括收看电视节目、学习书本、与外国人交流、寻求老师帮助等。
通过讲座,同学们对外语学习理论以及影响外语学习的因素有了更深了解,对于大家长久的外语学习有着深刻意义。
A Lecture:Foreign Language Learning

At 7:00 p.m. on December 9th,a lecture on foreign language learning was held in Leyu C310 by Dr.Franka Kermer.
First of all,Dr.Kermer told students the definition of the second language and the differences between the second language and the first language. She said, as a second language learner, we should be familiar with the system, vocabulary, morphology, phonology and expressions. After that we could study listening, speaking, reading and writing.Besides, language environment and individual effort were important factors in language learning. As one necessityfor successful languageacquisition, individual effort also plays an indispensable role in language education.
Then,Dr.Kermer introduced the evolution of linguisticsfrom1960 s to 1970 s as well as the internal generative grammar. She utilized Noam Chomsky''s language faculty to interpret it, which contained the approach to gaining the knowledge system of language as well as the language ability in the brain of human beings.
Finally,Dr.Kermer shared some language learning methods, such as watching TV shows, reading books, communicating with foreigners , asking the teachers for help and so on.
The lecture enabled studentstoknow more about language learning theories and skills, which has beengood for their language learning in the future.
