英语角之学习英语的方法

11月2日晚，本次英语角首次迎来了一位中国的英语老师金一。他和同学们讨论了一些学习英语的方法。

有学生说道:现在大部分人学习英语都是为了考试而不注重口语练习。对此，金老师建议同学们要多多地练习，大声地朗读。除了要经常阅读外语书籍来扩大自己的词汇量以外，还要对外国文化有所了解。还有学生反映把中文翻译成英文难度很大，金老师建议翻译不一定要句句落实，可以用一个具体的句子来解释这个词。最重要的还是不要害怕犯错误，要多说多练。在日常生活中，我们也可以选择一位谈得来的好搭档，互相锻炼口语。此外，参加各种各样的英语比赛也有益于我们的英语学习。

学习英语需要足够的耐心和毅力。有志者事竟成，只要努力了就会有收获。希望大家在英语学习中都能取得很大的进步.

The English Corner was held in the library as usual at 6pm of November 2rd. Mr.Jin, a Chinese teacher teaching English, attended the English Corner for the first time. He discussed with the students about some ways to learn English.

A student said that nowadays most students learn English for passing the tests, but not for improving their oral English. Therefore, Mr.Jin advised that students should speak loudly and practice more often. Equally important, the students were supposed to read more books in foreign languages to expand their vocabularies and have a knowledge about foreign cultures. After that, another student mentioned that translation is hard for him, because some words are really difficult to translate. However, Mr.Jin explained that we don’t have to translate the sentences word by word. Instead, we can use expressions similar and specific. More importantly, we should not be afraid of making mistakes. We can choose a partner who shares the same goal with us. Attending various English contests is also a beneficial way to improve our English.

      It takes a lot of patience and perseverance to learn English. A saying goes that where there is a will, there is a way. Hopefully great progress will be made in the near future.
