博士，副教授，硕士生导师。现任外国语学院副院长，曾任院党总支书记。研究领域：翻译理论与实践、应用语言学、课程与教学论等。教授英语教学设计与实施、博士生英语、研究生英语、英语口译、英汉互译、综合英语、高级英语等课程。发表学术论文近20篇，出版著作4部，主编或参与教材编写20册，其中国家级规划教材4册，主持或参与省级项目8项、市级项目3项。具有丰富的口笔译经验，多次担任国际会议、国际交流活动、外国专家讲座的口译员。翻译过多种类型的文字资料，题材涉及多种领域。荣获全国英语学科教学技能大赛“优秀指导教师”、全国口译大赛“优秀指导教师”、校级“师德标兵”、校级“优秀教师”等光荣称号。

Xie Qingli, an associate professor and PhD, is currently one of the vice deans of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, responsible for the management of teaching affairs of the faculty.  

Xie Qingli loves teaching and believes in the Chinese concept that “Teaching benefits teachers as well as students”. He has ever taught quite a number of courses for English and Non-English majors, including English Instructional Design and Practice, English for Doctoral Students, English for MA Students, Interpreting, Translation between English & Chinese, Intensive English Reading,and Advanced English.

As an experienced translator and interpreter, Xie Qingli has translated a large number of materials on a number of fields and worked as an interpreter on a part-time basis for international conferences, international exchange events, and lectures by scholars and professors from the English-speaking countries. All his experiences in real-life translation and interpretation make him keenly aware of the truth in the old saying “There is no end to learning”, which in turn spurs him to work hard on the acquisition of both linguistic knowledge and extra-linguistic knowledge all the time.
