An experience sharing meeting on job hunting were held in room A102 of Liyun Building by the Faculty of Foreign Languages, at 7:00 P.M. on April 24. One teacher, Mr. Lin Zijian, and six undergraduates who got employed in different fields gave lectures on their experience on how to be successfully employed.
They gave many valuable suggestions on how to make resumes and how to behave and answer questions in an interview. Zhang Jinglu introduced various types of questions asked in an interview and the tricks to answer them. Zeng Yuetao gave tips on how to prepare for an interview of recruiting teachers based on her own experience. Li Yuying introduced the civil service examination in detail. Li Huiying who now worked as an intern in HSBC (Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation), gave a speech entitled ‘To Be a Brave Employee’. Deng Xiufang shared with the audience her experience on how to choose a company. Ma Huijuan said choosing a favorite city and a favorite job is vital. We should learn to adapt to the society. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Lin provided lots of recent recruiting information to the audience and encouraged them to take the interviews.
Many students said that this meeting was very helpful. They determined to try their best to be ready for their future challenge. (By Guo Rui)
