A meeting on teaching reform of the English major and the Japanese major was held by the Faculty of Foreign Languages in Liyun Building Room A403, on April 26. The leadership body of the faculty and some teachers of English major and Japanese major attended the meeting.
The meeting was divided into two sections. In the first section, Dean Tao Wenhao suggested that the teaching of the courses of our faculty, particularly Comprehensive English, Advanced English, English Watching and Listening and some fundamental Japanese courses, should be restructured and fine-tuned. In the second section, the teachers present discussed to what extent the faculty could, in terms of curriculum of the English major, learn from some top-ranking universities in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao, and the English-speaking countries.
The meeting was a great success and marked a new beginning of the faculty’s endeavors in implementing its new school-running concepts.
