At 6:30pm on the evening of September 20th, the Japanese Corner was held in the library. Ms. Kayoko Matsushima , Mr. Wataru Sato and Mr. Hiromasa Meguro attended the Japanese Corner.
The conversation between teachers and students was interesting. A student said that when she went to Korea last summer holiday, she found that lots of waiters and waitresses were able to speak Chinese. Kayoko agreed with her. She said once she went to a restaurant with her mother, the waiter gave her mother a Japanese menu while giving her a Chinese one instead. She was surprised that she was regarded as a foreigner although she resembled her mother.
It seemed that this experience recalled others’ memory. One student said when he was travelling in Japan, he tried his best to communicate with a clerk in Japanese in a clothes store. However, when he finally paid by VISA, the clerk realized he was a Chinese and talked with him in Chinese fluently. Students laughed and were determined to improve their Japanese.
Time flies like an arrow. All the students were still immersed in the atmosphere of Japanese Corner, and they were looking forward to next week’s reunion.
