Representatives from Jermaine International Education Visiting the School of Foreign Languages
On the morning of May 24th, 2017, Mr. Xia Ming, board chairman of Jermaine International Education, together with 6 other representatives visited the School of Foreign Languages (SFL). Professor Tao Wenhao, Dean of the SFL; Associate Professor Xie Wenting, Vice Dean of the SFL and Sun Dongxue, Secretary of Administration, warmly received the guests.
The talk started in a cordial and friendly atmosphere. In the beginning, Mr. Xia Ming, founder of Jermaine International Education gave everybody present a brilliant introduction: Jermaine International Education is a renowned brand elaborately established by a group of prestigious professors, language experts and learned scholars with the common educational mission of “making English learning simpler”. After 14 years of research & development, experiment and promotion, two of its core achievements named “direct phonetic symbol indication” and “model of grammar” have been highly recognized by experts, teachers, students as well as parents for their peculiarity, subversiveness and efficiency. Furthermore, “direct phonetic symbol indication” has been listed as the regional special research project of the 12th Five-year Plan on national education science launched by the Ministry of Education, with its participants covering 189 primary and secondary schools across the country. Significant results have been achieved toward this project.
Last but not least, Dean Tao spoke highly of the fruitful achievements and expressed his hope to invite experts from Jermaine International Education to hold lecture series for undergraduates, postgraduates and also for teachers, enabling everyone to have the opportunity of acquiring the latest outcomes of reform and innovation on first-line English teaching. In addition, the two sides conducted an in-depth discussion on construction of education internship base and scientific research cooperation, thus laying a solid foundation for future cooperation on academic projects.
