2014年11月2日至12月16日，外国语学院学生党支部举行了北师帮帮活动，旨在根据大学英语四级新题型的要求，为备考的同学义务讲解写作与翻译方面的答题技巧和学习方法，由外国语学院兰静老师和王燕老师授课。

大学英语四级考试写作部分要求学生在半小时之内就一定的话题或提纲写出120-150个词的短文，体裁包括议论文、说明文、应用文等。要求表达思想清楚、文字通顺，连贯性较好，基本无语言错误，或仅有个别小错。2013年12月之后，翻译部分调整为段落汉译英，测试学生把汉语承载的信息用英语表达出来，内容涉及中国的历史、文化、经济、社会发展等。二位老师结合自己的教学经验，给在座的同学分享了一些备考技巧，并就临考前的注意事项予以点拨。同时，参加北师帮帮的同学也为备考的同学搜集了历年真题的听力，希望他们在考试前坚持训练，使身心达到最佳的考试状态。

外国语学院学生党支部举办的北师帮帮活动，不仅锻炼同学的组织协调能力，也为广大非英语专业学生提供了良好的学习平台，同学们希望这样的公益活动每学期都能举办。

“Helping Your CET “ lectured by Lan Jing and Wang Yan, was held successfully by the Students’ CPC Party Branch of SFL from November 2 to December 16, mainly discussing the two important parts translation and writing in CET 4

The writing part requires the examinees to write a fluent, expressive, well-organized article with about 120-150 words within half an hour, covering the suggested style such as argumentation, exposition or non-literature practical writing. Translation part, unlike the type before December in 2013, has been shifted into a Chinese passage translation, which aims to practice and cultivate students’translation ability of rendering Chinese history, culture, society and social development. The two teachers suggested that the mastery of language was not finished in one day and only practice can make the full comprehension of CET 4, especially the genuine test in the passed days. Students of the Party Branch also offered some listening exercises to the audience, wishing them to be geared to the listening speed even before the day of the test.

“Helping Your CET”was held for the first time though, it helps the English majors in their organizational skills and aids the non-English students a lot. Such kind of lectures are to be welcomed.
