On the afternoon of April 8, 2017, to guide students to carry forward the spirit of patriotism and strengthen patriotic education, Student Party Branch of the School of Foreign Languages organized an activity called "Red April” : Cherish the Memory of Our Revolutionary Martyrs and Develope the Traditional Revolutionary Spirit. The activity was held in Zhuhai martyrs memorial park. Wu Pengwei, secretary of the Student Party Branch of the School of Foreign Languages, and Zhu Wenjuan, deputy secretary, led party members, activists and applicants to participate in the event.

At three o'clock in the afternoon, the tomb-sweeping activity began. First of all, Secretary Wu Pengwei spoke about the tomb-sweeping activities speech. He said that he hoped this event would allow students to review the history and understand the revolution of the heroic deeds of the martyrs, which can enhance students' patriotic feelings. After the speech, the students hold small white flowers in hand, and solemnly faced to the monument to express their worship and respect for the predecessor.They took an oath: "I swear to be a qualified party member, study and carry forward the patriotic spirit of the revolutionary predecessor, constantly strive to become stronger, stay unity and friendship. Start from now on and from the side, we will make contributions for our country and the people." After the oath, the members of two teams presented small white flowers to the martyrs from both sides of the monument to express their great respect and memory for the revolutionary martyrs. Later, the students first came to the historical corridor to understand the history of modern struggle in Guangdong, and then they came to the revolutionary martyr exhibition hall, and listened to the introduction of heroic deeds of the revolutionary martyrs by the commentators in the museum.
